Cracow’s Wavelo city bike network

The bike network established in Cracow is the oldest one in Poland. However, you do not have to worry as it was completely modernized in 2016.

Since 2017, there are 150 spots where you can rent one of 1500 state-of-the-art bicycles.

The vehicles can be both rented and returned at any station.

The said spots are located in a close proximity to biggest tourist attractions (Wawel, National Museum, etc.).  The network is perfect if you want to visit a given place and then – get on your bicycle and travel further.

In order to be granted the possibility of taking advantage of the Wavelo bike network, you have to register and pay a subscription fee, allowing you to use a vehicle for 60 or 90 minutes a day. The cost of the monthly subscription is equal to 19 and 24 PLN, respectively.

The system is also connected with an innovative application, which not only shows all the available stations, but also – the distance to them and travel duration.

How to use Wavelo?

While registering, you will receive your very own ID number and PIN. When you want to rent a bike, you provide your personal ID and PIN. After locking in the bicycle to the station, the usage time is stopped. On 2017, numerous tariffs will be introduced in order to make the Wavelo network more accessible to both citizens and tourists.
